Modifications
For a number of customers BSE Ymond has carried out modifications to their machines. Modifications are performed for a number of reasons:
- Update your machines to the technolgy level of today
- Adjusting machine parts to create extra functionality
- Design new tools that can be used on existing machines for more functionality
- To make your machine more reliable
- Replace the mast of a indoor block gluing crane
- Replace control system of Ruthmann mobile elevating platform
- Replacing/strengthening of the drawbar of a e dissel of a farm wagon
- Mounting 'Hydro' Movers on a trailer for welding (railroad)
Modification is the method to make (older) machines or vehicles perform better or create extra functionality at relative low costs.
Because BSE Ymond has both an engineerings department and a workshop, modifications can be completely carried out. Our engineerings department can make structural calculations if required, adjust mechanical and hydraulical schemes and determine the prefered parts. Our workshop can do all the adjustments that are required, modify existing parts or create new ones. To ensure safety of modifications that are performed, often an inspection is required after the completion of the modifications. BSE Ymond can do the inspection for you or contact the appropriate inspection agency, to perform the inspection.
One example of a modification is the installation of remote control on a machine. Such a relative low cost modification can result in a dramatic increase in efficiency, and improved working conditions. For one of our customers we replaced the original control system of a mobile eleveating platform, including the electrical cabinets. The old control system was comprised out of old PCB's. resulting in many brake downs and malfunctions. The newly installed system consists out of a modern PLC control unit. This system is very flexible as all parameters can be programmed and also much more reliable. The vehicle is now more productive because the down time due to malfuctions is much lower.
